Life is a Relative Term, as on 8th of Sept , 2006

Dearest Life,

Life ...is a relative term,
Each life forms a part
Of a relation..
A "Bond " as they call it
Yet some are weak
And others...
Frayed, Distorted
Maybe unhappy !

Yet its life that's bonded.
I hope ours is a bond
 A bond to last
Happy and blessed.

I am now exhausted
and tired of life..
Life and its downs
The prolonged pain
Inspite of  the doors
That I tried to shut..
Unsuccessful and disillusioned
am I with this life !

I look up to you
You ,who offer me calm
Take this tempest
Or close my eyes for good

For life, and to live it ,I will wait
another birth,
I do desire to Live ..
With happiness and  glory
In the true sense of being alive,
To revel in your love
To bloom , blossom
And to be able..
Able ,to support one another
 Through each and every
Up and Down
Reassuring and calm !!

Dearest Life,
Life is a Relative Term,
Each life forms a part
Of a relation..
A bond ..as they call it ...

We are Apart

I wake to the rise..
And think of you,
My eyes barely open...
To the Consciousness sublime,

There draws a reality...
That we are Apart.

I start my day...
And talk to you,
My mind is unsatisfied...
Constantly running to you,

There draws a reality...
That we are Apart.

I end the day....
 Am still lost in you,
My heart is confused...
As i convince myself,

There draws a reality,
That we are apart.

I sail away yet again...
To dream about you,
Re-live cherished moments...
To fuel my heart and soul,

There too draws a reality...
That we are still apart.

Water Colors 1994-96

My trial with water colors - a tyrst..

Roses...
I tried my hand at waters ......
Daffodils..

The medium is alluring yet its for the fast footed....

Chrysanthemums

i tried
Iris

Until i finally liked this ....
Bunch of Flowers

till i liked this one finally...
then i tried this
Light house in New Zealand....

I am still attracted to the medium and haven't touched it in the last 15 years ,
if my math is correct...

The Red Barn - Oils , 1985

The Red Barn - Oils , 1985

This painting was painted by me when i was 15 years old ...
A fresher.... out of learning school...
half knowledge...as everyone one says is harmful..
But here i am even today armed with that half knowledge !!!

I presented the Red Barn to my loving and adorable Irene Masi and Kerman Masa.
They had a house that rang with peals of laughter... their 4 kids , plus the rest of us gathered cousins, around  13 to 15 kids ..a summer-time  riot...

They placed my painting, first in their living room for 10 years and then moved it to their Dining room...
It still hangs there....

Landscape in Oils, for my friend Sonia Singh

I started to paint this Landscape in 1994, for Sonia , she liked it so much that she decided to take it away from me .... even before i completed it ... i even  wrote her a small note, behind the painting...asking her to keep it safe... as i just might get famous one day.... this was long before i set out to become a wedding planner..

By 1996 , I had made up my mind and set course to action a company called Wedding Art , this bought me the Fame ...of being called India's first Wedding Planner , etc As they say i became Famous....Hahahaha...
Anyhow , I got the painting back ( after much cajoling and begging ) and finished it in 2011 ... and this is what it looks like now...

Thank You Sonia , for priding my incomplete painting for soooooo many years....

Bird of Paradise , painted in Oils, for Rajiv's Living Room in Australia

BIRDS OF PARADISE
Painted in Oils , jan/feb 2011, for my dear friend Rajiv.... for his Living room in Australia....
Rajiv, has been a wonderful friend and has stood by me in my time of crisis in Mumbai, when we were in college, when most  people i knew had either shied away or moved on with their lives...
I would never ever forget his stand to my innocence.
Apart that , we had spent many a vibrant moment in College with a largish group of friends... Rajiv added sanity to our Madnesssssss...
I would take any and every moment to recall "the" Pyjama incident...
Hahahahahaha...

A Precious Relationship

My heart aches
My souls distraught

I thought i wouldn't
Ever cross a bridge

I seem failing, yet,
Trying to contain another

Granting  no freedom
Or liberty to exude

Am I wrong
Is this uncalled for

To demand  preciousness
Out of minor expression

Freedom I talk of
Yet do not practice

Wading thru my thoughts
A desire  to communicate

Am I wrong
Is this uncalled for

To demand  preciousness
Within this relationship.

A Past Life Memoir

I survived my last life,
And am now in a New body,
Ready to embark upon-
A new Life.

I survived the Death,
You wrote out for Me,
By springing up-
Into a new Begining.

I survived your Lies,
Understood your Game,
I still Played along-
By being Blindly fair.

I saw through You,
Each and every Lie,
I gift it all 'For and To' you-
As I cried away into to this New Life !!

Baby Girl Arrival

A little angel was given to us
Her eyes so bright and smile so sweet,
You would almost think she had been here before.
I  look at you my Baby  ,with a heart of love and joy.
You ,my little angel were like a gift from above,
A prayer answered, a plea heard.

You are your father's pride and joy,
and your grandparent's favourite toy.
You look at us with a certain knowing
and a laugh of glee that almost
says I too am glad to be with here, with you.

The fulfilment you have
brought to this family runs so deep
it is like a never ending river of happiness.
As we will watch you grow and change
We will be are richer with every smile and look of love on your tiny face.
You, my tiny teeny Baby, are so special in every way
I  will love you more every
precious day of my life.

With all my love,
Your Mother...

Baby Kiara's Birth Announcement Poem

Eyes of brown, not blue or green

The Brightest eyes we have ever seen
A soft smile that shows from ear to ear

Never hinting pain or fear
She arrived with Pink cheeks, Soft brown hair
Manicured nails and a mild Cry,
Stealing our Hearts and bringing us Love

She's a Miracle sent from the Heavens above
She a cute little Blessing, as you've probably guessed
She's our sweet little angel girl !

Varun and Namita Hingorani
are pleased to announce the Arrival of
The Princess of their Hearts,
“Baby Kiara”,
Born on the 18th of November, 2010

Kiara's Birth Wishes

She´s your brand new little daughter,
so enchanted, sweet and smart.
With a coo, she´ll have you smiling
With a laugh, she´ll own your heart.

It´s the time for hugs and kisses,
Reassurance when she cries.
It´s the time for making moments
Full of love and Lullabies.

For these golden days of childhood
come and go so very fast -
Hold her tight and love her dearly.
Make these precious moments last.
